The Scripture: Galatians 1:10
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
Paul cuts through the noise of human expectation with razor-sharp clarity.
You cannot serve two masters. A “servant of Christ” is, by definition, an individual who has drawn a boundary around his or her loyalty.
When your boundaries are weak, it is usually because you are still “seeking the approval of man.”
Peace in the Christian life is the byproduct of boundaries. When we no longer feel the internal tug-of-war caused by trying to manage the feelings of others. You become “a servant of Christ,” and that identity is the ultimate protector of your peace.
